A Mini Maglite is a great gift for grandparents. Gandpa or Grandpa can easily take it with them when they go out at night. It really helps to have it near at hand to see steps, read menus and all sorts of other situations where light is essential. I use mine all the time. Get the accessories as well. They include a fountain pen type clip that makes the Mini Maglite easy to clip securely in a pocket. Grandpa can clip it in his shirt or jacket pocket; Grandma can easily put it in her bag.
